They were able to accomodate our party of 8 for my nephew's birthday dinner with no problem! Our server, Gina, was amazing and attentive even though she was taking care of several large parties. Food came out fast and delicious, everyone was very impressed with everything from the service, food and ambience. Definitely recommend!
As usual my son and I wanted to Brunch and I decided to take the drive to Los Feliz. We were seated immediately and ordered our drinks. The ambiance is casual and decorated beautifully for the Holiday season. I really loved the bar, it is stocked with some of my favorite additive free tequilas! We started on the smothered biscuits which we devoured! The flavor was very comforting, I loved the fresh Rosemary aroma and the sausage mixed with mushrooms were the perfect touch. My son and I agreed these were probably some of the best Biscuit's & Gravy we've had in a while. My son ordered the Mess burger which he loved. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich which had the best smoky bbq flavor I've had in a while. As we pulled into the parking lot, you could smell the bbq! The sandwich was topped with a great slaw and it came with fries. My only complaint is the fries were so basic but, still fresh! Overall the service was great, the music was great, the food was amazing and the vibes were everything. If you're looking for amazing comfort food give them a try.
Great variety on the menu. Nice laid back atmosphere. Lively conversation to be had. Greeter greeted us in a timely manner. Didn't wait long for a waiter to provide us with menus. Our selections came out in great time.
I ordered TAKEOUT and it was still 5 stars delicious. Will say: I ordered food for 5 people and they didn't deliver a single napkin or fork for the salad. Was I supposed to note that I wanted it on my delivery app? Not sure..but my juicy delicious amazing burger required napkins. Even the sweet potato fries were good and they arrived cold. Bet this place is bomb irl
This spot has always been a standout for its inviting atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food. Their mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts are absolutely fantastic, and the Veggie Beast is one of the few standout vegetarian options on the menu--perfectly crafted and incredibly satisfying. That said, I do wish there were more vegetarian-friendly options for the grill, as the menu feels a bit limited in that regard. I have to mention how sad I am that the AM Sando is no longer available all day--it's one of my all-time favorite sandwiches, and I truly hope it makes a return to the all-day menu soon. Despite these changes, this place continues to deliver excellent meals and remains a favorite for a treat-yourself outing.
Stopped here before a concert at the Greek and absolutely loved it. We started off with drinks, everyone liked their beers and ciders. The waiters were also super attentive. I ordered the Caesar salad with fried chicken on top and absolutely loved it. The Caesar dressing was incredible, and the lettuce fresh, and the chicken paired perfectly with it. Would highly recommend trying this. I also was able to try the spicy fried chicken sandwich with brie cheese and thought it was absolutely incredible. All of us are avid Brie lovers, but were wondering if it would work well in the sandwich and thought the cheese worked perfectly with it. We also got the pulled pork sandwich, which was pretty good, but not as great as the other entrées. I will say that the prices are quite high, and I definitely wouldn't come often as it is a little bit more expensive than I feel it should be. However, the quality of the food is pretty incredible and all of the plates had so much flavor which I loved. The servers were also very attentive which we really appreciated. We ended up ending with the gooey brownie and marshmallow ice cream and all of us absolutely loved it. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely come back. Definitely wish it was a little bit more affordable, but the quality is pretty insane.
I believe Messhall used to the be the former Brown Derby location and they've done a great job with it. This is my first time here and wanted to visit for Sunday Brunch. The menu is slim but has a lot of offerings for everyone in your party. As you can see from the photos, the portion sizes were more than expected, especially the pulled pork sandwich. We got an extra side of Carolina BBQ sauce to make it even better! The Cobb Salad with the fried chicken was more than one person to eat so we shared it among three of us. Although the hamburger was not as big as I wanted, it was still thick, juicy and flavorful. Lastly, the chilaquiles was a huge order and also shared. The service was excellent and Jack, was like our second server. Both were very knowledgeable about the menu and had some really good suggestions. The music was straight from my days of growing up in the 80's so it added to the ambiance. They have some great promotions that we will be checking out especially the lunch burger with beer for $12 and the fresh oysters for $1 until they run out. Bathroom 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10 Service 10/10 Value 10/10 Will I return? Yes!
Do not miss the Mess Burger. Messhall makes an*real* burger that nails my ideal burger in all the ways with its warm soft toasty bun and smokey juicy patty. Bun to everything else ratio is on point. CAB short rib is also delicious and super tender. One of the top entrees you can't go wrong with. Fried okra was delicious; the breading is light and flavorful. Scallops were ok and it would be something I'd skip for next time.
Super impressed with the Messhall. I called yesterday asking for a table for 12 for the next day and it was no problem at all to get the reservation. When we arrived we were 13 and the restaurant was super accommodating. We all loved the food which came out quickly. The ambiance was cozy and warm being surrounded by fire pits and heaters. Great place. especially for large groups.
